Wykeham Rise is led by Erika Klauer as managing member. While the company will take a secondary role to the daily management and operation led by Ocean House, Wykeham Rise will support Ocean House in rendering the long-term vision of this crucial community asset. Erika Klauer is an investment professional who works in New York and spends her weekends in Washington with her family. She has lived in Washington for the last 16 years and in Litchfield County since her childhood.
Ocean House Management, LLC will consult on the design and operations of Wykeham Rise. Ocean House currently operates three properties, a unique collection of one-of-a-kind hotels, resorts, and residences throughout New England. The Ocean House brand is built on a reputation for unparalleled attention to detail and impeccable personal service from remarkable dining experiences to their world-renowned spa treatments and facilities. Bruce Glickman and Wilson Henley‘s exceptional taste and furniture have been feature extensively in such media outlets as Elle Décor and Architectural Digest and will undoubtedly add tremendous style and approachable glamour to the interiors with their design advisory and custom furniture. They live and work full-time in Washington.
Karen Davis‘ will design the suites and bedrooms at Wykeham Rise and brings with her a wide background of experience, ranging from a 55-room boutique hotel in England to luxury apartments in the Phillipines. Karen lives with her family in Washington CT.
H&R Design, located in Danbury CT, brings extensive experience in all phases of architectural planning and design for large commercial projects both in CT and beyond with their full team of architects, engineers and designers. They have worked with Wykeham Rise and Ocean House from the very start to ensure the highest quality and contextual aesthetic in the overall site plan.
Kathryn McCarver Root is a gallerist and dealer specializing in fine art photography. Kathy opened KMR Arts in Washington Depot, CT in 2007 and showcases photography from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. She will bring her exceptional eye for sourcing and installing art to the Wykeham Rise art collection.
Megan Lutz has built her esteemed career providing the finest personal training and group wellness programs in the Litchfield Country Community. For ten years she instructed guests at Mayflower in wellness and fitness and joins Wykeham Rise as our fitness and wellness expert. Initial programming will commence in the coming season.
A&T Masonry Led by Tahir Lekaj, this New Milford, CT-based masonry and stonework team will work to restore the beautiful stone walls that have graced the entry of Wykeham Rise for more than 100 years. They will also be responsible for the masonry throughout the property.
